After eating at this restaurant I became violently ill. I finally went to the emergency room were I was informed I had Food Poisoning. I will be more careful were I choose to eat my food. YUK!!!!

Well... Today was about the 3rd time I've eaten at this place and I figured I should drop a line or two about the food. This place is literally across the street from my complex, so its convenient... So, the first time I went there I got crab puffs and Kung Pao Chicken. The Kung Pao was fairly good, but I didn't really care for their style of crab puffs. The second time I got the Orange Beef. It was cooked fairly well but the orange sauce was a little too much orange for my taste buds. Luckily, I also ordered some Chicken and Mumbo sauce because who doesn't like that?? :-) So on to today, I ordered the Generals Tso Chicken and it was VERY good! Nice white meat chicken in a very rich sauce. Needless to say when I go back, I will probably order the Generals Chicken going forward unless I feel like trying another dish... So after three meals at this establishment, I would rate them a strong 4 out of 5 stars for a carry out.

This is by far the worst Chinese food I'd ever had. The other reviews rated the egg drop soup and Generals Chicken as being good, so I ordered both. I also ordered the crab rangoon. All was TERRIBLE! The crab rangoon tasted off, and the texture of the cream cheese was grainy and off putting. There was a bonus french fry in the container with it. Wtf? The egg drop soup was neon orange. One taste had me putting my spoon down. Bland, and gelatenous. The generals chicken was terrible. I'm not even sure I was eating chicken. It was an unrecognizable, greasy, chewy blob. I would definitely pass on this place.

IN SEARCH FOR GENERAL TSO.... Ok so I'm definitely on strike from the kitchen this week because a sista has clearly not been in the mood to cook. Well as of yesterday I've been on the hunt for some good General Tso Chicken but refused to drive all the way to Charlie Chang's in Crystal City or the closes PF Chang's so I thought I would give the "carry out" a try. I know looking for quality General Tso Chicken maybe like finding a needle in a hay stack but I was overall determined. So after hitting up two other spots yesterday; 1st attempt right in the parking lot I bit into the so called dark meat and instantly my taste buds screamed absolutely NOT. Don't worry someone was blessed with a hot meal. 2nd attempt although this was white meat & a little better but the sauce was just all wrong. I did eat about 1/3 of it, was full, but still not satisfied. Sooo I told myself I would try one last carry out spot in my area and if I wasn't successful I would be driving to VA from here on out. I'm so proud to say that I FINALLY found a carry out that can whip up some great quality General Tso Chicken. The chicken is all white meat & I'm for sure because it taste as well as looks like cut up chicken breast. On top of that the chicken wasn't overly battered like most carry outs do in order to hide the horrific meat lol. The sauce was thick, red, sweet, & very little hotness. Oh yeah the sauce had the fresh green onions & the red peppers too. Now the only reason I didn't give this place a five star is based on the slightly under done rice, but it was seasoned very well with fresh vegetables so I would still say it was good. Also I didn't give this place a five star simply because of its typical carry out appearance. Other then that I truly enjoyed half of my meal & have enough for dinner tomorrow as well as plenty of rice that I'll be recooking up on the stove...lol.

Now too bad, but they keep giving me egg rolls with meat. I'm a vegetarian. Last time I ordered a veggie egg roll. It even had a "V" on it. The damn roll had pork and shrimp. I was livid because this wasn't the first time. The orange tofu is great, and the veggie egg roll is great. Unfortunately, I can't get past the pork and shrimp egg roll mishaps. I'm done!

This place is touch and go. However, I learned not to try anything I've never eaten before at this place. I usually get combination broccoli or Singapore noodles. I tried to Kong Pao Chicken and Orange chicken and it was drenched in sauce. Just terrible! A friend of mine ordered chicken wings, and whatever grease they use makes the wings taste like a chemical is in it. Gross! So, if you find something you like here, stick to it. Don't try anything new.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
